
Buzoku
overview
Buzoku is a third-person combat-based game themed around fuedal-japan samurai fighting created on the ROBLOX platform. This is a personal project I worked on part-time with another developer creating a range of art assets.
This game is now a showcase as the combat programmer never finished their work and I didn’t have enough experience to program a fully-fledged combat system in ROBLOX Lua. However, the game serves as a player showcase now that can be picked up again in the future.

The Environment Design was modelled utilising ROBLOX’s terrain editor, this took a while to adjust too but with some setting tweaking and practice I mastered the feature and took advantage off it to create this environments map. Afterwards I filled my assets I created throughout the map finishing the design.

STORE ICONS
Going into this I was inspired but UI Menus from Genshin Impact and simular games with their clean sleek design and magic detailing. During this process I created a hotbar, store menus, icons, panels and other UI elements to finish my game. I also rendered 3D models in blender and attached those transparent images to make unique store icons.

MARKETING & cover art
In order to advertise this project I needed to produce some marketing material to catch the eyes of the younger demographic on ROBLOX. I decided to design some characters to use for the thumbnail and create a LOGO for the game. I started advertising the game on twitter and created a discord server for fan updates and playtesting.
